 Answer from bdjobs Bdjobs Answer

Dear User, Thank you for your valuable question. Taking a career break is more common than you might think, even though there is sometimes a stigma attached to how candidates will fill that gap. Everyone has different career paths that they climb at their own pace, depending on what their goals are in life. So, if you're worried about returning to work after a break, keep these tips in mind to get you back on the right track with more confidence.

1.Access your situation:
Don't jump on the next option you get first. You need to give yourself some time and rethink your career options. Plan your career goals and review what you did differently last time. You might have thought of other options before you went for your career break, which is no longer the right fit for you now.

2. Update your CV and Cover letter:
Around us, things are changing quickly. You need to check the most recent CV trends and adjust your resume in accordance with them. In order to establish a connection with the recruiter, simply describe your ability in your cover letter. Include any new talents you may have acquired while on vacation and explain how they pertain to the position you're seeking right now.

3.Develop your skills:
You acknowledged taking two professional courses the previous year. Keep doing it that way. Find classes that will advance your career goals and continue to gain new skills. A career-focused person should keep learning even after landing a job to further themselves. On the Bdjobs e-learning platform, you can take courses. We provide a wide range of courses with the top professional mentors in many industries.

4.Network
When looking for a job, it's always wise to reach out to all your connections as much as you can. Tell your friends and relatives that you are looking for a job. You can even give your CV to potential relationships, which can forward it to some strong links. This is also an excellent opportunity to prepare any possible references that could support your new job applications.

5. Prepare thoroughly for your interview:
Make sure you are prepared to discuss your career break before your first job interview. You may be questioned about your career break and what you did in your spare time. Also, prepare some common interview questions and answers. Preparing for an interview can reduce your stress and make you more confident.
