I think you have made a very good decision by planning to get some hands on experience in software development while completing your graduation. You have not mentioned anything about your current programming skill. If you do not possess any particular skill that is demanded in the market you might face some problems in getting part time jobs. My suggestion to you would be to get some programming skills like Visual C++, Visual Basic, ASP, PHP, HTML, XML etc. and look for part time jobs. Also at this stage please do not consider too much about payment. Join in a good IT firm where you can learn things and you will have some responsibility (I would suggest you to offer your free service to any good IT firm if they agree to give you some project jobs). Please remember that, after you get your graduation, it will be your experience rather that your certificate value that will be more important. I hope the above piece of advice will be helpful to you.
